Is GoFreelance a SCAM?

Is GoFreelance a scam? I believe so. You see, they state that they have over 7,000 jobs available in their members area but when I got in there I only found 1-200 and that was at MOST! Over the course of my 1 week trial I only saw a few jobs added.

I canceled my subscription through my Paypal account and yet the money still was paid out to GoFreelance. I had a dispute going through Paypal about this matter but they closed it and I didn't get my money back.

As I had canceled my subscription the money should never have been paid out to GoFreelance it should have stayed in my Paypal account- I am stil in contact with Paypal about this matter and have hope that it can and WILL be resolved in a positive manner.

All I want is refund of my money and yet I cannot get GoFreelance to do so- they do NOT state on their site that they don't give refunds yet the 1 time I got a response back all they stated was that they don't give refunds.

This tells me that they must not do a very good business if they won't refund what should be a low number of unhappy clients if their service is as great as they say it is..

I have contacted Paypal again to try to see what can be done to get my $30 back. At this point it is not just about getting back my $30 but about making businesses do what is RIGHT and quit taking people's money under false pretenses and then refuse to refund it.

GoFreelance is a members site so they are making residual money on work already done. If they have so many members and are so great then refunding my $30 should not hurt them. Instead they choose the $30 even though it will cost them in word of mouth advertising. You see, when you do good service you get free word of mouth advertising that helps to build yoiur business.

When you do bad service you get bad word of mouth 'advertising'. In other words, people, like me, tell about their bad experience and then others know not to waste their money.

I think that refusing to refund my $30 has been a bad business decision.

I have heard bad things about Paypal but I am hoping that they will realize that it is not good business to support online businesses that are taking people's money under false pretenses with fraudulent claims- C'mon there is a HUGE difference between 200 jobs availabe and the supposed over 7,000!!!
If that is not fraud then I don't know what is?! Add to that the fact that there is no where stated on their site that they don't give refunds and yet they told me that they don't. If they don't then they should have stated that on their site so that I would know that. They DIDN'T!

Any advice? You can read more in my 'scams' section below and you can post your comments here or there.

Let me know what YOU think about this?

In the meantime I am making sure to tell EVERYONE about my bad experience and let you all know to stay clear of this 'home business opportunity'!
